As doors swing open into the summer sun and heat from the pizza oven blows through the kitchen, air-conditioning units work to cool the children running through Chuck E. Cheese’s. Managing energy usage for the 551 units of the Irving-based company can be a challenge.
The restaurant chain and entertainment venue found the answer in energy management systems that not only track costs and consumption but when and where it’s used. The restaurant started installing the EnTouch systems in 75 stores in January and expects to have another 25 done by mid-July.
