EnTouch to discuss role of real-time facilities intelligence in reducing energy, water and maintenance costs and boosting bottom-line revenues

Philadelphia – April 24, 2015 – EnTouch Controls, the market leader of energy management as a service (EMaaS), today announced its CEO Greg Fasullo will be presenting at this year’s ServiceChannel Spring User Conference on April 26 in Philadelphia. Mr. Fasullo will be presenting on the role of real-time data and facilities intelligence in helping multi-site retailers identity energy inefficiencies and simultaneously reduce water usage, manage water consumption, and increase profitability.

In the United States, commercial facilities spend over $69 billion a year on energy, consume nearly 900 billion kWh of electricity, and of that, the U.S. Energy Information Agency estimates 30 percent is "wasted" through either inefficient or unnecessary usage. This results in over $20 billion of wasted profits and unnecessary Co2 emissions, equivalent to planting a forest 50% larger than the state of California – every year.

Traditional energy management systems (EMS) have been deployed in many retail facilities and have provided reductions in energy usage and expense. But significant incremental value comes from harvesting the rich data to make better decisions about energy efficiency equipment, lighting, HVAC and other systems – including water.

While these decisions have been shown to reduce energy and water consumption by 20 percent or more, it’s hard for multi-site retailers and their facility teams to marshal the internal resources required to process and validate the vast amount of data – literally millions of data points for each facility daily.

Greg’s talk will provide an overview of the commercial energy and water waste problem, how energy management as a service (EMaaS) is changing how retailers approach the Greg Fasulloproblem and he will provide real life examples of leading retailers who have benefited from embracing EMaaS.
